This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use gamblergames.com and the Gambler Games applications (the “Service”), why we collect it and what rights you have. The data controller is:

1. What data we collect

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal data.

2. Why we use it and the legal basis

To provide the Service — your account, games, ratings, chat, purchases (performance of the contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
To keep games fair and the Service safe — detecting multiple accounts, cheating, abuse and attacks (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).
To fix errors and improve the Service — bug reports and aggregated statistics (legitimate interest).
To send notifications and news — push notifications about your games, e-mails you subscribed to (your consent, Art. 6(1)(a); you can withdraw it at any time in settings or by the link in the e-mail).
To meet legal obligations — accounting and tax records of purchases, determining the country of the buyer for value added tax (the country of the card and the IP address), and sanctions checks (Art. 6(1)(c)).

3. What other players see

Your nickname, avatar, profile fields you filled in, ratings, game records, tournament results and messages in public chats are visible to other players. Private messages are visible only to their recipients, and to moderators when they investigate a complaint.

4. Who we share data with

We may transfer personal data for processing to service providers that process it on our behalf, and only as much as they need:

hosting and data-centre providers;
providers of technical support and maintenance of the Service;
our payment provider Braintree (PayPal) — for purchases;
Google and Apple — if you choose to sign in with them, and for push notifications on mobile devices;
e-mail delivery providers — for messages you asked for.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Our servers are located in the European Union. Some of the providers listed above may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case they use the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep data

Account and profile — while your account exists.
Game records — while your account exists; after deletion they stay in anonymised form (without your nickname) as part of other players' history.
Chat messages — up to 1 year in public chats; private messages until you or the other side delete them, or the account is deleted.
Connection logs — up to 6 months.
Purchase records — as long as accounting law requires (up to 10 years in Lithuania).

6. Cookies and local storage

We use only what is needed for the Service to work: keeping you signed in, your settings (language, card deck, sounds) and recently used items. They are stored in your browser or app. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format and withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account in your profile or by writing to us. We answer requests within one month.

If you think we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt) or to the authority of the country where you live.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 14. If we learn that a child under 14 has created an account, we delete it.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections, store passwords only as hashes and limit staff access to personal data to what their work requires.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page; about material changes we will notify you in the Service in advance.
